This is your ticket for the Ironskin Weekend Workshop – a memorable weekend spent with ten like-minded history nerds inside a medieval castle: This is what we’ll do:
- You get free entry into the castle and the museum
- Have a guided tour through the armory
- Examine mail armor that is not publicly displayed
- Hear expert talks about mail armor in history and reconstructions
- Refine your mail-making skills hands-on
- Tools and materials are there. Take home the meshes you built
- Learn the seams and tailoring needed for mail garments
- Bring or start your own project and get guidance

- How long: Saturday morning till Sunday evening, 10 am to 5 pm
- Who: About ten international participants

Hier meldest du dich an zum Ironskin Kettenhemd-Kurs – ein einzigartiges Wochenende mit zehn gleichgesinnten Geschichtsbegeisterten auf der Burg Coburg. Das erwartet dich:
- Du bekommst freien Eintritt auf die Burg und das Museum
- Eine geführte Tour durch die Rüstkammer
- Du siehst Ringpanzer von nahem, die sonst nicht zugänglich sind
- Vortrag: Ringpanzer im Mittelalter und moderne Rekonstruktionen
- Praktischer Teil: Du lernst Kettenhemd-Ringe zu schmieden
- Material und Werkzeuge sind da. Was du baust kannst du mitnehmen
- Du lernst wie man am Ringgeflecht Nähte zieht und schneidert
- Du kannst dein eigenes Ringpanzer-Projekt mitbringen oder beginnen
